Nokia N810 Internet Tablet with Maemo Linux

The Nokia N810 Internet Tablet is an Internet appliance from Nokia, announced on 17 October, 2007 at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco.
Despite Nokia's strong association with cellular products, the Nokia N810 is not a phone, but allows the user to surf the Internet and communicate using Wi-Fi network or a mobile phone via Bluetooth. It is based on hardware and software of the Nokia N800 with some additions and some eliminated.
The Nokia N810 features Maemo Linux distribution in Maemo 4.0, which provides Microb (browser based on Mozilla Mobile), a GPS navigation application, a new media player and a renewed interface.
On 1 April 2008, Nokia announced a WiMAX equipped Nokia N810 version called "N810 WiMAX Edition. This device must be identical in specifications to the original N810 but includes a WiMAX radio for use initially in the Sprint XOHM network, and gave a color change from gray to black, and one case of most large lump behind to accommodate the module.
The output of the N810 WiMAX Edition Nokia was canceled in January 2009.
The Nokia N810, like all Nokia Internet Tablet, Maemo works, which is similar to multiple handheld operating systems and offers a "home" screen - the central point from which all applications and configurations are available. The main screen is divided into areas for launching applications, a menu bar and an area of great customizable and can display information as an RSS reader, viewer, Internet radio, and the Google search box for example. Maemo is a modified version of Debian GNU / Linux.
